Woodley is a town in Wokingham Borough, not Reading Borough, about 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Reading and next to Earley. Most of its housing came after the Bulmershe estate was sold as building plots in 1926, and in the 1930s houses were built in lines along main roads such as Loddon Bridge Road and Butts Hill Road. More recent housing stands on the former Woodley Aerodrome, which was redeveloped in the 1980s, and on the former Bulmershe campus, which was sold in 2013 to 2014.

Newer homes
Many newer homes and apartment blocks were built with full fibre already in place, which can make getting connected simpler. Your postcode check shows exactly what is available at your address.
Thick walls and Wi-Fi
Thick brick and stone walls in older homes can weaken Wi-Fi between rooms. Carnival offers a choice of Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 router, and eero mesh systems can carry a strong signal to every floor.
